David Gray (b. 1970) acquired a strong foundational education in art while obtaining his BFA from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. He has since built upon that foundation with a continuing independent study of pictorial expression in general and oil painting in particular. This study, tempered by his inherent artistic intuition, has resulted in paintings that display an affinity for the classical tradition. More particularly, each piece represents an intense exploration and refinement of his personal pictorial sensitivities; especially as they relate to beauty, form, light and shade, composition, and color.

David has been painting professionally since 1997 and enjoys a steadily increasing reputation as a skillful painter of still life and figurative subjects. His work is included in many discriminating private art collections throughout the United States and abroad.
